In 2010, ÿÈÕ̽»¨ established the Sustainability Projects Fund — making it possible to support and finance sustainability initiatives led by members of the ÿÈÕ̽»¨ community.
Not only does the fund provide opportunities for ÿÈÕ̽»¨ians to actively engage in sustainable development projects on campus, but it also encourages individuals to be agents of change in their own study and work environment.
Over the last decade, more than 250 innovative projects have been funded. Just some examples:
- Biodiesel production projects
- ÿÈÕ̽»¨ Feeding ÿÈÕ̽»¨
- Development of a permaculture course
- Green Labs initiative
- Creation of a new full-time position, a Sustainable Procurement Officer, responsible for working on both the policy and community level to develop sustainable alternatives in the procurement process at ÿÈÕ̽»¨
