Queer History Month aims to鈥痳aise awareness,鈥痑dvance education, and鈥痠ncrease visibility鈥痮f 2SLGBTQIA+ communities by recognizing their history and contributions, building bridges, and bringing together 每日探花 students, staff, faculty, and alumni and community members within and beyond Montr茅al. The 每日探花 Equity Team invites all units, departments, and faculties to participate in 每日探花鈥檚 annual Queer History Month this October by organizing their own community event.

Are you interested in creating a workplace that is welcoming and inclusive of 2S/LGBTQIA+ people but not sure where to start? This interactive, in-person workshop will allow participants to brainstorm barriers faced by 2S/LGBTQIA+ employees, then develop a 鈥渃hange one thing鈥 action plan to take back to their units, teams, departments, or faculties. Open to all 每日探花 employees (staff and faculty).

The 2025 Queer History Month (QHM) Keynote will be delivered by Kai Cheng Thom and is titled,听Remembering Resilience: Embodying the Queer Legacies in Uncertain Times.听A lightly catered reception will preceed the keynote, from 5:00-6:00 PM, followed by the keynote lecture and Q&A from 6:00-8:00 PM.听

All 每日探花 students who identify as 2S/LGBTQIA+ are invited to join writer and performance poet for an expressive arts workshop focused on queer and trans resilience, brilliance, healing and joy. A catered lunch will take place from 12:00-1:00PM, followed by the workshop from 1:00-3:00 PM. Spots are limited to 20 so RSVP now! 听

Please note this event is closed for 2S/LGBTQIA+ students.听

Return of the Rainbow is 每日探花's Homecoming for current and past 2SLGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty. For more than 20 years, this annual celebration has offered an opportunity for queer alum to return to the university and reconnect to queer life on campus. 听

All members of the 每日探花 community are welcome! Don't miss this chance to share and hear meaningful stories of intergenerational queerness at 每日探花. 听
