Honours

This program is open to students in the BSc Major in Environment, BSc(AgEnvSc) Major in Environment, BA Faculty Program in Environment, BA Joint Honours Component Environment and the BA&Sc Interfaculty Program in Environment.

An Honours program gives students the opportunity to pursue a directed, focused and individual research project over the course of a two semesters under the supervision of a professor.听 While Honours is not necessarily required for graduate school, the Honours program will provide Bieler School of Environment students with additional preparation for graduate level research.

The Environment Honours program consists of an听Honours Research project (6 cr) in addition听to the requirements of the student's primary Environment program.听 Additional time is not required to complete the degree, as the 6 credits of research are taken in place of elective credits.听听The Honours Research course spans two terms within a 12 month period, and should reflect about 250 hours of work.听 Students should note that the Senior Research Project (ENVR 401 or equivalent) is still required for Honours students.
